The U15 AA Southeast Whitecap Wings were looking to bounce back after a 9-0 loss Saturday and did just that Sunday morning when they beat the Northwest Sharks 4-2 at Crescent Point Place.

Southeast opened the scoring just 1:11 into the game when Hadley Gerle found the back of the net. The assist on the goal went to Julia Durr. The Sharks evened things up early in the second when Sarah McNabb scored her first of the game just 1:18 into the frame.

The Gold Wings would regain the lead, though, when Durr scored a power play goal, assisted by Gerle, with 7:41 left to play in the period. The lead wouldn’t last too long, though, as McNabb scored for the Shark 1:25 later to make it 2-2.

It didn’t take long into the third period for the Gold Wings to jump back out front. Gerle scored her second of the day, assisted by Addison Greve, just 44 seconds into the frame. Then, Rayna Hennie would add a power play goal with 1:38 left to play to make it 4-2. Her goal was assisted by Kaylin Wilhelm and Ella Schenher.

The U15 AA Gold Wings are back in action on Saturday when they host the Warman Wildcats.
