The play of the U15 Weyburn Young Fellows Thrashers has been unreal as of late. It may seem like a superlative, but the defensive performances from the team over their last four games is something rarely seen in box lacrosse. They have allowed just two goals over that span, something rarely seen in the sport.

Here are some numbers to put things into perspective. In the six-team South Saskatchewan Lacrosse League, the average goals against per game is 9.76. The average goals-against for the Young Fellows Thrashers this season has been 2.17. Over the past four games, they have allowed an average of 0.5 goals-against per game.

Thursday night, the Young Fellow Thrashers were at home against the QCMBL Snipers out of Regina. The Thrashers would post their second shutout of the season, and second in three games, with a 6-0 victory. Weyburn was led by Hudson Maloney, who had four goals in the win. The other goals came from Shiloh Mickler and Nathan Rosengren.
