Overall, 2022 was a great year for businesses here in Weyburn, and for the Weyburn Chamber of Commerce.

"We started out the year with. AGM where we had sworn in our new Chamber President Steven Schuck, and we had guest speakers Paul Martin and Cameron Dowd," shared Executive Director, Monica Osborn.

She said they were happy to be able to present the Golden Spike award to Rod Neviadomy, and to once again be able to hold in person their Coffee with the Chamber events.

"It's just a chance for our members to attend free of charge, and do our roundtable discussions," she noted. "It's a way for us to be able to provide education sessions for our members, but also it's a way for us to know what our members want, what they want to learn, and what they need to know to help make their businesses run smoothly and efficiently. So that's just one way that we can kind of partner with our Chamber members to be able to give them back what they are looking for."

She said their summer and winter parades were, as always, "such a great success."

"We wrapped up the year with our Golden Sheath award where we presented it to Alan and Yvonne Whitrow at our annual Ag Appreciation Night," she said.

Osborn added it was great to once again be able to host their annual signature events in person.

"That was always such a nice treat. It's just a better way for everyone to do some networking."
