Weyburn Police Service, EMS attend to assault victim

The Weyburn Police Service received two calls about a man laying in the middle of the street in the early morning hours of last Friday. 

"When police attended, they found the victim suffering injuries consistent with an assault. The victim was transported to the Weyburn General Hospital, where they had spent the night for evaluation," said Constable Kalin Weibe. 

While the victim was released from the hospital the next morning, he was able to identify the suspect for the police. 

"The suspect was charged with assault causing bodily harm," Weibe added.

The man will appear in court on an upcoming date.
