The Moose Jaw Minor Football League Playoffs got underway on the weekend, and two Weyburn teams were in the first round of their respective divisions.

The U12 Eagles were scheduled to take on the Moosomin Generals at the Weyburn Minor Football Field Saturday afternoon. Officially, the game was a 1-0 win for the Eagles, after the Generals forfeited due to a lack of players over the long weekend. The Eagles now advance to the second round.

The U14 Ravens were on the road in Moose Jaw for a first-round match-up against the Vikings. It would be Moose Jaw who was victorious, knocking the Ravens out of championship contention with a 14-6 win. The Ravens will now be taking on the Moose Jaw Raiders in the Emerald Custom Creations Bowl this coming weekend.

The U14 Falcons had a first-round bye. They will be playing the Assiniboia Rockets on Saturday in the second round of the playoffs. The game is slated to be under the light Saturday at the Weyburn Minor Football Field.

In the regular season, the Falcons beat the Rockets 28-0.
