While many motorists lament the speed limit reduction on Highway 39 as it passes through the town of Yellow Grass, most follow the posted speed limit of 50 kilometres per hour. For two drivers Tuesday morning, though, they didn’t quite get the message.

The Weyburn Combined Traffic Services Section reported they stopped two drivers who were speeding through the community, and both of the drivers ended up with substantial tickets. One of the tickets was $865, while the other was for $798.

In a post on social media, the Weyburn CTSS pointed out the speed limit sign in the community is upright, and visible. The post also included the hashtags ‘#waytoofast’ and ‘#werewatching’.
