A great way to clear out your winter stash of refundable bottles and cans is to donate them to a worthy cause.

Hopfe Training Centre has started fundraising for the Isaiah Evans fund, and they hope to continue helping out in more ways in Weyburn once they've finished filling a 53 foot trailer with refundables for Isaiah.

“We are doing 18 Wheels of Goodness, and so we are asking everybody to bring all of their bottles and cans and we are giving to a charitable cause for little Isaiah.,” shared Delea Lark.

The fundraiser for Isaiah is ongoing this summer, with a goal of $100,000 to purchase a custom medical van.

“They can donate over at the Hopfe yard, which is right beside Fido's place, and they can just drop everything off, and the the guys there will throw it into the trailer for you,” she invited.

To make it easy for the general public to help out, they'll also be bringing the trailer to the Soo Line Cruisers Show & Shine Car Show on June 17th.

“As long as we can fill the trailer, we're going to keep running it,” Lark noted. “Then once we fill the trailer, we may find a new cause and go on to maybe a sports team and Weyburn or something. But everything will be local. We've got an extra trailer and we just wanted to help somebody local to us.”

She added they were inspired in the initiative by Leicester Family Restaurant with their current 'Friends of Isaiah' fundraiser. Read more HERE.
