The Weyburn Agricultural Society's 4-H Interclub Beef Show began competition yesterday, kicking off this year's annual 4-H days. Events will be going on until July third.
Yesterday saw the showmanship and team grooming champions for all levels, and the champion sheep showman. The winners are as follows:
Cloverbud Showmanship Champion: Gideon Gustafson / Cymri Beef 4-H Club
Junior Showmanship Champion: Presley Woitas / Radville Beef 4-H Club
Intermediate Showmanship Champion: Brayden Fladeland / Radville Beef 4-H Club
Senior Showmanship Champion: Kyla Lees / Arcola-Kisbey Beef 4-H Club
Junior Team Grooming Champion: Arcola-Kisbey Beef 4-H Club
Intermediate Team Grooming Champion: Radville Beef 4-H Club
Senior Team Grooming Champion: Arcola-Kisbey Beef 4-H Club
Champion Sheep Showman - Harper Wilgenbusch / Weyburn Sheep 4-H Club
In total 110 steers, 51 heifers, 14 cow and calf pairs, and eight sheep will show in the next two days. Today will see the showing of fed calves and sheep and goats, alongside heifer, steer, and market lamb and goat jackpot shows.
Tomorrow will conclude this year’s 4-H days with the Interclub female show, and award presentations, finishing off with fed calf and market lamb sales.
