The Weyburn Police Service (WPS) received a call last Wednesday night in the late evening hours, from a frantic individual stating that they needed help. They hung up without providing their location or a contact number.

The WPS were able to locate the address and upon arrival, found the caller quarrelling with other occupants at that residence.

Deputy Police Chief Brent VanDeSype with WPS shared, "Unfortunately, it turned out to be the caller was breaching several of their release conditions and they were charged accordingly."

VanDeSype added that they want to get pertinent information right away from callers, and of course, they want to know where they're sending officers, and as soon as they send them there, they want to know what the situation is and what it involves.

Anyone with information regarding any matters of a criminal nature, are encouraged to contact the WPS at 306-848-3250, the local RCMP Detachment at 310-7267, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
