Dr. Brown 30th annual fundraiser coming up on March 25th

The 30th annual Doctor Brown Fundraiser will be held on Saturday, March 25th, 2023 at Oungre Memorial Regional Park (OMRP) in the rink area.

The Doctor Brown Fundraising Committee hosts the event and seeks donations for auction items; all funds raised go back into the OMRP. The committee is comprised of a group of local volunteers and strives to promote community involvement, where families and future generations can gather through activities offered at OMRP. 

Committee Chair Loran Tosczak said that they are very excited to have the fundraiser in-person and live again. This year's event is pearl-themed.

Doors will open at 4:30 p.m., and there will be a delicious roast beef supper, lots of time to socialize, as well as Live, Silent and Dutch auctions. There will also be a fun Heads or Tails game that costs $5. 

A variety of items were donated by generous people and businesses in the community and surrounding areas. Some of those items included crafts, kid's items, tools, agricultural items, sweaters and certificates. All the items were donated by businesses in Weyburn, Estevan and communities in between. 

Some of the planned capital projects for this year from the funds raised include new tiles for the hot tub, new diving boards and new kitchen appliances.

The Doctor Brown Fundraising Committee wanted to extend a sincere thank-you to everyone that supports them year after year. From cash donations to auction items, all those that attend, to everyone who helps with the auction set-up and clean-up.
