Inclusion Weyburn is partnering with schools in Weyburn throughout this week for the 'Spring Clean for Inclusion Weyburn'.

The schools participating are Legacy Park, Assiniboia Park, St. Michael, and Weyburn Comprehensive.

Kim Nethercutt, board member with Inclusion Weyburn, said this is the same initiative as the yellow bins seen at various locations around Weyburn.

The used items include clothing, shoes, toys, linens, books, games, and other gently-used items can be taken to the schools by Friday.

"We're working to collect as much as we can, so when the truck comes on Friday [morning] to pick up these items, the truck gets weighed and then Inclusion Weyburn receives a monetary amount based on the weight of the truck."

She said Inclusion Weyburn is, "dedicated to supporting and ensuring that individuals from Weyburn and area who have intellectual disabilities are valued and supported, included members of our community and have opportunities and choices in all aspects of their life."
