The chance for fans to get their tickets for the Weyburn Beavers Sports Dinner, coming up on Saturday, is running out.

“We have 60 tickets available,” said team president Garnet Hansen. “That’s just over seven tickets to sell, so I’d really like to sell out, and encourage people to get in touch with us and book your table because time’s running out.”

The guest speakers this year are both from the world of football. One of the biggest signings of the Saskatchewan Roughriders this year, A.J. Ouellette, will be coming down for the dinner. The other guest is a name known to many in Weyburn, former NFL player Brett Jones.

“I’m really looking forward to both guests,” Hansen added. “I think they have a lot to offer to anybody that attends the sports dinner.”

Those who are interested in the tickets for the dinner can get in touch with the team via email ( or through social media. The tickets are $90 for a seat or a table of eight for $700.
