It was a busy weekend for hockey teams from Weyburn, with mixed results across all the age groups.

The U18 AA John Hulbert Construction Wings played one game on the weekend, as they entertained the Regina Rangers at Crescent Point Place. Special teams played a key role, as the Wings skated to a 7-5 victory. Carter Gervais and Matt Sexsmith had two goals each, with Wyatt Chinski, Connor McIndoe and Silas Stein also finding the back of the net.

The U18 AA Aaron Well Servicing Gold Wings travelled to North Dakota for three exhibition games on the weekend.  

The weekend started Friday night with a game against the Minot High School Magicians. The first game of the weekend would see the Gold Wings coming up just short, falling 2-1. Charlotte Kosior scored the lone goal in the loss.  

Saturday, the two teams played again, with the Gold Wings picking up a 2-0 shutout win. Kiera Barker got the shutout, with Morgan Loney and Elizabeth Gill scoring the goals.  

The weekend wrapped up in Williston Sunday afternoon. The Gold Wings would again be just short of a win, with Williston taking a 2-1 win.

The U16 AA Agriterra Wings were at home for two games on the weekend and came away with two wins, both over the North West Stars. The game Saturday was a 5-4 win, with Evan Duke scoring a hat trick, including the game-winner. Also scoring for the Wings in the victory were Evan Guest and Reese Copeland.  

Sunday afternoon, the Wings picked up a 5-0 victory over the Stars. Connor Brady stopped 26 shots for the shutout. Offensively, Kaleb Sheasby led the way with a pair of goals. Also scoring in the win were Marcus Quigley, Evan Duke and Kail Hilstrom.

It was a rough weekend for the U15 AA Whitecap Gold Wings, as they played three games on the road, and were on the wrong side of the scoreboard in all three games.  

Friday, they started the trip in Kindersley, playing the Western Prairie Thunder. The home side would come out on top, winning 10-3. Emma Roth, Peyton Birnie and Kelsey Ripplinger scored in the loss.  

Saturday, the Gold Wings found themselves in Battleford, playing the Northwest Sharks. The Sharks would score early, and often, and won 9-3. Chelsea Madsen, Haven Bourassa and Alexis Bauman scored for the Gold Wings. 

The trip wrapped up with a game against the Saskatoon Comet Impact. Saskatoon would win the game 5-1. Birnie had the lone goal for the Southeast squad.

It was a pair of home games for the U15 AA Annugas Wings, who would come up short in both games on the weekend.  

Saturday, they fell 4-2 to the Regina Monarchs. The Wings had goals from Nixon Stein and Andrew Hemphill.  

Sunday, Prairie Storm was at Crescent Point Place to play the U15 AA Wings. Weyburn fell 7-3. The goals for Weyburn came courtesy of Kobe Deck, Reid Spagrud and Reid Kosior.

The U13 AA Young Fellow Wings entertained the Melville Millionaires in the Tom Zandee Sports Arena Saturday evening. The Wings would come away with a 5-2 victory. Sawyer Treble had two goals for Weyburn, with Evrhet Schenher, Bryce Scrupps and Liam Lacoste also finding the back of the net.

The U13 AA Young Fellow Gold Wings played a home game at Affinity Place in Estevan Friday evening, taking on the Northwest Sharks. The Gold Wings would rally back from an early deficit to win 5-3. Ella Walkeden and Bree Poelen had a pair of goals each, with Ayla Spagrud also finding the back of the net.
