As predicted, snow has started falling in the Weyburn area and does not appear to be letting up any time soon.

Although no official amounts have been released as of yet, it was enough to create some unsafe highway conditions.

Conditions have switched between winter conditions, travel not recommended, and closed throughout the day.

As of 6:00 Sunday evening, Highway 39 north of Yellow Grass is closed, as are parts of Highway 6 near the Corinne turnoff and the areas around the TransCanada that were closed earlier today. Highway 35 north of Weyburn is currently showing that travel is not recommended as is Highway 13 west of the City. There is also reduced visibility on all highways directly through Weyburn.
