A fatal collision on Highway 33 Wednesday afternoon is being investigated by the RCMP.

RCMP received the report just before 4:00 p.m. after the report of a collision between a semi and a car on the highway just northwest of Fillmore.

The driver, and sole occupant, of the car, a 27-year-old man from Winnipeg, was declared deceased at the scene by EMS.

There were no injuries reported by the driver of the semi.

The initial investigation led to the highway being closed for a period of time, but it has since been re-opened. The investigation into the collision is being conducted by the Weyburn RCMP, and a collision reconstructionist from the Saskatchewan RCMP.
