There's something new for baseball fans at Tom Laing Park. The Weyburn Beavers baseball club officially unveiled their new Penta Completions VIP Fan Deck during their Saturday night game against the Regina Red Sox.

Construction on the deck began in June. Beavers President Garnet Hanson said it isn't fully complete, with plans to add a pergola-style roof over the next couple weeks, but said it's fully useable as it is right now.

"We have been using it for a bit," shared Hanson. "Sponsor nights will be hosted here, businesses can rent it, groups of people. So, it's an added revenue stream and something that we didn't have and other ballparks do so we're just trying to get to the next step."

Operations manager with Penta Completions Tim Plemel said the company was looking for another way to give back to the community. Penta Completions already sponsors the annual Beavers School Night.

"We went for the title sponsorship on the deck," said Plemel. "We've secured the naming rights for the next five years."

Interested groups and businesses can contact the Beavers to reserve the deck.
