It's full circle for a favourite Weyburn Arts Council (WAC) winter event held annually for the past decade. The first event of its kind, Four Festive Floors, was held at the Signal Hill Arts Centre in 2013.

Now, the Gifted Winter Market will be back at the City's home of arts, culture and recreation, the Credit Union Spark Centre on Saturday, November 18th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

“It's everywhere on the main floor of the Spark Centre, so you'll enter through the gallery doors and we will have tables all down the art hallway, and in the multi-purpose rooms. It's going to be quite an event, and it is such an amazing facility. We are so fortunate to have that facility,” said WAC Chair Tasha Hill.

“We take donations at the door, but there is no charge for admission,” she noted. “The fact that patrons can attend at no cost, I think it's just a real gift to the community.”

Hill said the reason for free admission is to make art accessible to everybody.

“With the current economic climate, sometimes that's not always the easiest thing, so we just ask if you can donate, that's appreciated, as it helps us extend all of our projects that we do in the community. And if you can't, come in, say hi, enjoy the show and stop in at the gallery to see the current exhibitions.”

A number of local non profit organizations will be joining artists at the event.

“We provide a certain number of nonprofit tables at no cost to those organizations and encourage them to apply,” she shared. “The Humane Society will be there. We'll have gift wrapping. It'll be a really festive and fun time for everybody.”

The application deadline for vendors is Monday morning at 9 a.m. Read more HERE.
