From leis for everyone to a roasted pig and all the fixings, hula hoop contests and limbo competitions, the Weyburn Legion brought Hawaiian vibes to town on Saturday night.

The evening’s emcee was Korryn Kubashek, the pig was carved by Legion volunteer Michael Souther, face-painting was provided by Kat Erickson of Kat & Fuel's Tattoo Shop, and contests were judged by Mayor Marcel Roy and Osoro “Femi” Roy.

"Every event that we do that's Legion-based is a fundraiser for our club, so we appreciate the community support and this is just another way to do that," said Secretary-Manager Debbie Kater.

One hundred percent of the proceeds from the event will go back to the club, and while the numbers for the fundraiser are still being tallied, the tropical festive event included fun for the whole family and we've got the pictures to prove it - a full gallery of photos can be found here.
