The Weyburn Police Service made an arrest for impaired driving in the early morning hours last Thursday after a heads-up from the RCMP.

The RMP had received a report of an erratic driver who was all over the road and driving at a high rate of speed towards Weyburn. They advised the WPS of the incident, and an officer on patrol in Weyburn found a vehicle that matched the description.

The officer initiated a traffic stop, and the investigation determined the driver was impaired. The driver was charged with impaired driving, as well as dangerous driving, both of which were charges under the Criminal Code.
