Weyburn was well-represented at the Queen City Marathon this past weekend with just under 30 runners registered in the annual event. 

In the main marathon, which had 361 participants, Lyndon Lumb placed 6th in his category, 52nd overall, with a chip time of 3:37:00. Brody Ward placed 38th in his category, 146th overall, with a time of 4:21:06 and Courtney Foster placed 15th in her category, 183rd overall, coming in at 4:42:13.

In the half-marathon, which hosted 1,099 runners, Marcel Van De Woestyne placed 12th in his category, or 191st overall, with a chip time of 1:50:40. Karen Becker was close behind, placing 3rd in her category and 297th overall with a time of 1:56:50. Ken King wound up in 16th in his category, 437 overall, with a time of 2:05:56. Shawn Nelson placed 103 in his category or 455 overall with a time of 2:07:59. Mason Sidloski came in 13th in his category or 577 overall with a time of 2:15:35. Manuel Ofallo placed 109th in his category, 788 overall, with a time of 2:40:12 and David Thompson placed 40th in his category or 884 overall with a time of 3:21:54.

In the 10K, which had 788 participants, Camden Husband placed 2nd in his category, 8th overall, with a chip time of 40:09. Jim Greig was close behind, placing 6th in his category, 62nd overall, with a time of 49:18. Luke Dillen placed 26th in his category or 130 overall with a chip time of 53:56. Twila Walkeden placed 6th in her category, 169th overall, with a time of 56:30. Laure Speers was right behind her, placing 19th in her category or 190th overall with a time of 57:36. Dan Manning placed 16th in his category or 361 overall with a time of 1:06:15. Darryl Postnikoff placed 20th in his category, 444 overall, with a time of 1:11:44 and Stephanie Lang placed 85th in her category or 513 overall with a time of 1:17:24. 

The Night Owl 5K event had 745 participants, including Megan Dillen who placed 82nd in her category or 160 overall with a chip time of 32:07. Stephanie Lang placed 169 in her category or 298 overall with a time of 37:23. Tammy Senft placed 253 in her category or 411 overall with a time of 42:27 and Gene Senft was just a step behind, coming in 157 in his category or 412 overall with a time of 42:28. 

The youngest Weyburnite in the race was Craig Elmore who partook in the Mini Marathon (3K). Of 117 participants, Elmore placed 17th in his category and 24th overall with a chip time of 17:10.

Weyburn was also represented in the relay event with the "Wey-Slow-Burn" placing 24th out of 46th with a chip time of 4:14:45. 

Other residents who were registered but whose times were not available include Emma Bitz, Kimberly Bitz, Doug Lumb, and Erin Rush.
