The Weyburn Beavers dropped their ninth game in a row Friday night, as they continued their road trip in Lethbridge. The Beavers would have a 7-6 lead after the fourth inning, but then the Bulls rallied to take the lead and held on for a 14-12 victory. 

Nolan Machibroda would drive in four runs for the Beavers, as he went 3-for-6 six at the plate, including a solo home run in the eighth inning and a three-run home run in the ninth. Machibroda now has five home runs on the season and 30 RBIs, the second-most in the league in both categories. 

Patryk Hernandez had three RBIs for the Beavers in the loss, with Brayden Mayencourt, Konner McLellin, Matthew Armendariz and Will Baker also driving in runs.  

On the mound, Ben Franz was tagged with the loss, after giving up seven runs on seven hits in two innings of work. Starting pitcher Mason Chamberlain went three innings, giving up six runs on six hits striking out one and walking one. 

Ryan Jundt came in for the fourth inning, and then Franz pitched the fifth and sixth innings. The seventh and eighth innings were pitched by Anthony Porcellato, who struck out one while allowing one walk and four hits.  

The Beavers continue the road swing Saturday when they play the Bulls again, before wrapping things up in Alberta with a game against Brooks Sunday afternoon.
