The Richardson Pioneer Weyburn Red Wings are looking to bounce back after losing both games in the SJHL Showcase earlier this week.

The team is heading to Estevan on Friday to take on the Bruins at 7:00 p.m.  

They host the Melville Millionaires on Saturday at 7:00 p.m., and they return to Estevan on Sunday at 4:00 p.m. 

“After the SJHL showcase, I think the guys got a little bit of a wakeup call,” Office and Public Relations Manager, Nick Nielsen said. “We played a really good team against the Battlefords North Stars, and then Flin Flon was a game we probably could have won if we would have stayed out of the penalty box, so I think everything overall is pretty positive.”   

He added the team knows the mistakes they made, and how to fix them. 

“It should be a couple of good games in the Viterra division this weekend,” he said. “Obviously the Red Wings have played well against both these teams in the past so far this year, so hoping to get a couple of big wins out of it and get back in the win column.”
