The Radville Laurier Regional Park achieved another significant milestone in its fundraising journey, thanks to a remarkable contribution from Radville Minor Hockey (RMH) Shauna Bourassa, the Fundraising Coordinator, shares the exciting details.

“The Radville Minor Hockey Association provided $130,000 towards the Recreation Center renovations and upgrades. The funds from this were actually dedicated from The Hockey Day in Saskatchewan event that they held in 2022.”

Bourassa revealed that Radville had initially planned to host the event in 2020, but COVID restrictions led to postponement until 2022. Fortunately, the delay proved beneficial, as the tournament raised an impressive $130,355 in just two days, all of which went towards park donations.

“It now brings our totals to $1.5 million that we raised in the community. Our goal is still $2.3 million and we're getting there.”
