The City of Weyburn announced Friday afternoon that the timeline for the opening of the indoor pool at the Weyburn Leisure Centre has been pushed back. It was originally scheduled to be open on Monday, but that has been tentatively rescheduled for later in the week.  

In a written release, the City stated the delay is due to the difficulty in sourcing replacement parts. This includes valves and in-pool lighting. The process has been challenging due to the facility’s aging infrastructure.  

The release also apologized for the inconvenience and stated a further update will be provided on Monday.
