The Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) is gearing up for May’s Mental Health Week, which will run from May 6th to May 12th and once again the focus is on the highly anticipated Mayor’s Luncheon. This year might have the youngest guest speakers to date, Program Director, Tasha Collins shares the exciting details.

“[The} Mayor's Luncheon will be on Tuesday, May 7th this year, we have special guests, the Spirit Singers and they will be coming to teach us about mental health through music and excerpts from ‘You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown.’

At the end of May, the Spirit of Grace troupe is set to perform on one of the most prestigious stages in the world.

“We really thought it would be a great way to highlight this special group, they are also actually on their way to Carnegie Hall in New York City to perform with another group from Saskatchewan, we're really excited for them.”

The popular luncheon usually sells out, and it looks like it will be another sold-out event as Collins shared that they have already sold half of their tickets.

Tickets are available at the CMHA Weyburn office at 404 Ashford Street and Barber Motors. Tickets are priced at $25 each and tables for eight are also available. Stay informed about CMHA and its events by following its Facebook page
