The Saskatchewan Health Authority is conducting a survey in the Weyburn area. The survey is looking at patient-reported outcomes and patient-reported experiences. Trevor Tessier, the director of primary care for Southeast 8, which includes the Weyburn area, explained this survey is designed to find out what people are seeing and experiencing when they go through the healthcare system in Weyburn.

“Understanding their experience and outcome will allow us to make better decisions on the healthcare that we get in Weyburn, and also help us advocate for more resources, and the more appropriate resources, for what we need based on what we hear from patients in the community,” Tessier said of the survey.

The survey is being done online and can be found either via this link or through a QR code that is posted in a number of medical facilities in the region. Tessier stated there is no deadline for people to take the survey, but they are hoping to get some data from it by the end of the year if enough people participate.
