The Town of Radville and Radville Laurier Regional Park have recently secured grant funding for a new pool through the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program.

Amanda Wolter, Assistant Administrator with the Town of Radville, said that the grant funding is about 75 percent of the project.

"The government sends out these grant streams on a normal basis. We knew that we needed a new facility for the pool, so we dove into it and applied for the grant funding, and we received it."

Wolter explained that, "The project will include the demolition of the existing outdoor pool, the construction of a new pool with a zero beach entry area, a waterslide, toys and a diving board."

She said that, "We will be doing some renovations to the electrical in our campground and installing water and sewer there, putting a concession/bathroom unit in our campground area as well as installing a reverse osmosis system and a water bottle filling system inside the rink."

Wolter added that they are going to be re-constructing the ice resurfacing room, and extending that hallway as well as building two new dressing rooms.

The project is slated to start in the spring of 2023, with completion expected for the summer of 2024.
