Recognizing the unique challenges of adolescence, the Weyburn Public Library has launched the 'Gathering Spot'. This initiative provides teens with a safe haven to come together and unwind at the end of the week. Joanne Smith, Teen Programmer, shares all the exciting details.

“It’s a chance for teens to come and celebrate, it's at the end of the school week, the start of the weekend. And they can just come and hang out. They can play video games and board games. We'll have some little craft materials. Maybe they just want to listen to music. Maybe they just want to chill and hang out with their friends. But it's just somewhere for the teens to be able to come, be together, and socialize. And the thing is, is that we will be downstairs, and because we're not the library you can be noisy,” chuckled Joanne.

The ‘Gathering Spot’ will meet weekly on Friday afternoons from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and will kick off on February 2nd.
