After having the start of their season postponed due to the weather the Weyburn Beavers fell to the Moose Jaw Miller Express 6-4 last night.

Things started out pretty even in the first inning with a run by Travis Moore, but Moose Jaw managed to earn two runs at the bottom of the first inning. Tyren Dorrance earned a run at the top of the seventh inning, the second point earned for Weyburn, but Moose Jaw already had six points following up the first inning with doubles in the second and sixth.

The Beavers tried fighting back in the ninth inning with runs from Travis Moore and Caelen Dalman, but it was too late for Weyburn.

The Miller Express is 1-3 on their season. The two teams face off again in Moose Jaw at 7:05 p.m. tonight.

Weyburn will have its Home Opener on Monday, June 6 against Swift Current, after having it postponed over the weekend. The game starts at 7:05 p.m. at Tom Laing Park.
