A busy weekend for the Weyburn Thrashers, with a number of games this weekend across the age groups. 

For the U11 teams, the Credit Union Thrashers played two games at home Saturday – one against the Young Fellow Thrashers and another against the Swift Current Rampage. In the first game, between the two Weyburn clubs, the Credit Union Thrashers came away with an 8-4 victory. Simon Wawro led the way with four goals for the Credit Union Thrashers, while Jep Furgason scored twice, and Felix Wawro and Bryer Mutrie added a goal each. The Young Fellow Thrashers had goals from Owen Eberle, Cooper Dammann, Roman Quigley and Warner Ripplinger.  

The second game of the day for the Credit Union Thrashers was against the Swift Current Rampage. The Thrashers would score twice in the third to come away with a 4-3 victory. Landon Leroux found the net twice, with Felix Wawro and Coy Svedahl adding a goal each as well.  

The Young Fellow Thrashers would play Swift Current later in the day, and the Rampage came away with an 8-3 victory. The Thrashers had goals from Eberle, Quigley and Ripplinger in the losing effort.  

The U13 Weyburn Security Thrashers were at home to the Moosomin Maulers on Friday night. A late goal for the Thrashers would result in a 2-2 draw. Both goals for the Thrashers were scored by Julie Labrecque. The next game for the Thrashers is on May 24th, when they hit the road to take on the Standing Buffalo Fighting Sioux.  

The U15 Young Fellow Thrashers were at home for two games on Saturday, playing the Moosomin Maulers and then the Swift Current Rampage. Weyburn would end up splitting the two games, with a win over the Maulers, while falling to Swift Current. 

In the game against the Maulers, the Thrashers would get five goals from Alex Labrecque en route to an 11-5 victory. Leo Missal added three goals, with two coming from Shiloh Mickler and one goal from Maddox Mohan. 

In the late game against the Rampage, the Thrashers found themselves down early, and couldn’t rally back, falling 6-2. The goals for the Thrashers came from Labrecque and Chayse Willoughby.  

There will be a short break for the U15 Thrashers, before they return to action for a pair of road games in Moose Jaw on May 27th. 

The U17 Panther Drilling Wings would host the Swift Current Rampage for two games on the weekend. The Thrashers would win both of the games. The first one was a 5-3 victory, with Hunter Willoughby scoring twice, and Ryder Hignett, Blake Becker and Jack Missal adding a goal each in the victory.  

The second game was a 6-2 win. Hignett and Brody Morrice led the way with a pair of goals each. Missal and Vann Dennis added a goal each as well.  

The next U17 game is Monday night as they head down to Estevan to take on the Voltz.
