The Weyburn Skating Club will be offering programs this Fall for those looking to learn to skate and those looking to learn figure skating skills. Terilyn Schroeder, Weyburn Skating Club Administrator shares the upcoming programs, “We are gearing up for a great skate and we have lots of opportunities to get on the ice. Our registration for our Fall and Winter session is already open. Our Fall session is from October 3rd to December 13th. Our Winter session is from January 9th to March 28th. Our Canskaters will have the opportunity to be on the ice Tuesday and Thursday at 5:15 PM and Pre-Canskaters, the 3- and 4-year-olds will hit the ice Tuesdays at 6:15 PM.”

With the regular skating club ice times throughout the Fall and Winter programs, you can expect to see improvement for all the athletes. For those who have never put a pair of skates on, this is the place to start. “We have a lot of pride in our Program, it’s a great place to start. It gives you the beginning skills of how to stand up, stop, turn around and just the fundamental skills to lead to a well-rounded skater,” says Schroeder.

The Skating Club has limited spots for each session, Schroeder explains, “You can find registration on our website, we do cap the registration because the quality of our program is of utmost importance to us. We encourage registering sooner than later.”
