While there were no serious injuries resulting form an accident at the intersection of Highway 39 and 3rd Street, at around noon on Tuesday, it raises the question of why there seems to be regular accidents at that location.

"We haven't done an analysis to see if it's a directional issue, but it's one of those things that's just driver awareness," stated Deputy Chief Brent VanDeSype with the Weyburn Police Service.

He said when the light turns yellow, reduce your speed and stop if at all possible, as the yellow light means it's time to clear the intersection. 

"When it turns yellow, you are to stop if you reasonably can. But this is just a matter of people not being aware or not paying attention or just blatantly ignoring the traffic signal."
