A pair of runners from Weyburn were in Saskatoon for the Saskatchewan marathon over the weekend and came back with some solid finishes. 

Beatrice Fiola-Johnson was taking part in the full 42.2-kilometre marathon and finished the race in 7th for her category, and 24th overall. The other runner from Weyburn, Jesse Elmore, took part in the 10-kilometre race and finished 27th in her category. 

The men's full marathon was won by Kip Kangogo from Lethbridge, who finished the race in 2:28:23. The winner of the women's full marathon was Eriko Soma from Vancouver, who had a time of 2:49:54.
